This side folding stock adaptor uses a standard AR15 thread (1 3/16 -16)
The Male thread is approx. .43 long
The Female thread is approx. .38 Deep
Yes, there is a little side to side play when locked open or closed, there is a release lever that if very easy to actuate to open and close. To allow ease of opening and closing a small gap is required and results in slight movements. when shooting, proper pressure on the stock will negate the slight play seen when no pressure is on the stock.
Doesn't fit on the Macavity MA2 series, they made their threaded section too deep in the back of the air rifle.
